Start from any date, choose plus or minus, then enter years, months, weeks, and days. Turn on business days when you need weekday offsets only (weeks and days).

How to use the date calculator

For a span between two calendar dates, fill Days Between Two Dates and click Calculate. The result lists years, months, weeks, and days, plus a total day count. Check Include end day when both endpoints should count (common for inclusive hotel nights or project length debates).

To move forward or backward from one date, use Add to or Subtract from a Date. That matches common date-add forms and day-offset tools. For hour-level spans instead of dates, use the time duration calculator.

Business days and weekends

Business days usually mean Monday through Friday. Check Business days only to skip Saturday and Sunday. If your workplace treats Saturday as a workday, enable that option so Saturdays stay in the count while Sundays drop out.

Holidays are optional. When Exclude selected US holidays is on, checked federal and common US dates are treated as non-business days. This calculator does not load every country holiday calendar. If a local holiday is missing, extend your target date by hand for those days.

When to use a date calculator

• Contracts and payment terms (net 30, net 60, net 90)
• Shipping and delivery windows in calendar or business days
• Planting and harvest schedules counted in days before a target date
• Medical or recovery intervals measured from a procedure date
• Recurring tasks every 30, 60, 90, or 180 days with Repeat

Example: an order placed on October 1 with delivery in 15 business days lands later than October 1 plus 15 calendar days, because weekends are skipped. Example: tomatoes ripe by August 15 after 70 grow days means planting by June 6 when you subtract 70 calendar days.

Leap years and the Gregorian calendar

A common year has 365 days. Leap years add February 29 so the calendar stays aligned with the seasons. Under Gregorian rules, a year is a leap year if it is divisible by 4, except century years must be divisible by 400 (2000 was a leap year; 1900 was not).

This tool uses local calendar dates and those leap-day rules automatically when it walks across February and when it adds months or years.

How do I find the number of days between two dates?

Enter both dates in Days Between Two Dates and Calculate. Total days is the absolute calendar difference. Years, months, weeks, and days break that span into calendar parts.

Should I include the end day?

Usually leave it unchecked for “how many days until,” which measures the gap between dates. Check it when both the start and end dates belong in the count.

What is 30 days from today?

Set Start Date to Today in the add form, leave Days at 30, choose +, and Calculate. Use Repeat to step another 30 days for a recurring schedule.

How do business days differ from calendar days?

Calendar days include every day on the wall calendar. Business days skip weekends (and optionally holidays). Fifteen business days from a Monday often land further out than fifteen calendar days.
